Scott Hill (Wakatatlihuni) is an Oneida artist born and raised on the Oneida Reservation in Wisconsin. His Oneida name means "he teaches himself" — a fitting description for this entirely self-taught artist who has been creating for over 25 years from his studio and gallery in Oneida. Hill works across painting, sculpting, and his distinctive rock sculptures, creating pieces that honor Oneida traditions and the natural world. His art reflects a deep connection to the land, water, and spiritual traditions of the Oneida people. Working in multiple mediums including acrylics, stone, and mixed media, Hill brings a unique vision to contemporary Native art. He is a proud Oneida Nation member whose work is collected and admired throughout Indian Country.
