Jaune Quick-to-See Smith is a Salish and Kootenai artist who received a major retrospective at the Whitney Museum in 2023 — the museum's first-ever solo show for a Native American artist.

Her art combines abstract expressionism, pop art, and traditional Native imagery to address land rights, environmental destruction, and Indigenous identity. Her work is in MoMA, the Met, and the National Gallery.
